Sat 27 May

U9s

The Under 9s first match was against Durham City Clarets and United took an early goal thanks to a Andrew Simpson penalty. When Cameron Holdsworth grabbed a couple more it looked as if the Clarets were out of it but they fought back and were rewarded with a couple of goals to make the score 3-2 in Coxhoe’s favour going into half time. Coxhoe got off to a flyer in the second half with a well taken James Gilson goal but the day belonged to Cameron Holdsworth who capped off his mom performance with another goal to complete his hat trick with the final score 5-2.

The second game of the day saw Coxhoe up against Durham City Jets and the game was decided with a single, first half Andrew Simpson goal which was a close range volley from a corner. Coxhoe’s mom was Stephen Wadge.

U8s Development

The Under 8s Development first match of the day was against Eurocamps and despite some fantastic effort from United, Eurocamps won the match 2-0 with Coxhoe’s mom Sam Marshall.

The second game saw United up against Wasington United Jaguars and Coxhoe were so unlucky not to win the match with Bobby Goundry going very close to grabbing his first goals for the club with a couple of near misses. The game finished 0-0 with the Coxhoe mom award going to Ben Crampton.

Sat 13 May

U 10s

The opening game saw Coxhoe United up against Houghton Boys who were part of last season’s first division. Despite having the lion’s share of the chances the game finished 0-0 with the Houghton keeper in fine form.

The second match was against Lambton Lions United and whenever the two teams meet a close, exciting game is guaranteed. After a goalless first half the goal burst into life midway into the second half with a Evan Teggert goal from close range, but the lead only lasted a minute as the spirited Lions pulled one back. The game remained tied until the final minute when Jody Borthwick scored her first ever league goal to ensure the three points went to Coxhoe.

U 9s

The U 9s first match was against Boldon Colt Panthers and it was a real end to end thriller in the first half but despite the numerous chances the score remained goalless as the first half whistle blew. In the second half Alex Macgrath scored a beautiful goal into the top right hand corner of the net. The goal marked a period of intense Boldon pressure but the Coxhoe defence held steady and Andrew Simpson put the game beyond Boldon’s reach with a final minute Coxhoe goal.

The second game was against Brandon United. Coxhoe enjoyed superior possession but the Brandon defence was excellent and they kept out the Coxhoe attack and the game finished in a 0-0 stalemate.

U 8s

The U 8s had only one game against Brandon United with the game finishing 0-0 with Coxhoe’s outstanding goalkeeper Zahan Bomanji grabbing the Coxhoe mom award.

Under 8s Development

The under 8s development’s opening game was against Sunderland based Redhouse and despite great effort from Coxhoe, the youngsters lost the game 1-0. The team talk was effective as in the second game Ben Crampton beat 3 defenders to hammer the ball passed the keeper. It was a super goal that was still rising as it hit the back of the net. Washington hit back to equal the score but a further Coxhoe goal squeezed in from a tight angle by Sam Marshall meant the victory was Coxhoe’s.

Under 12 Girls

Coxhoe United Girls kicked off their first ever league matches in games against Byres Green and White Leas Wasps.

In the first match Coxhoe were beaten 1-0 by a sharp looking Byres Green with Coxhoe’s mom Sophie Wilson. In their second match Coxhoe were up against Whiteleas Wasps and mom Nichole Lawson opened the scoring for Coxhoe but the Wasps hit back with two goals to take the lead but Coxhoe’s heads refused to drop and Nochole Lawson grabbed her second of the game and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Sat. 6th May

Despite being without the services of Ryan Mansfield and James Marshall, United’s U 10s were full of optimism going in to the first ever league meetings against Deerness Valley and Sacriston based Durham Athletic, after the highs of finishing runners up in the Blackpool Plate the previous week.
In the opening match against Deerness, Coxhoe opened brightly but despite their domination went into half time two goals down due to two very well worked Deerness breakaway goals. In the second half when Even Teggert pulled one back for Coxhoe it looked as if United would get something from the game but the Deerness defence was strong and they managed to hold out to take all three points.
The second match saw Coxhoe up against a strong Durham Athletic team at the very top of their game. Again Coxhoe conceded two first half goals and there was no let up in the pressure in the second half with Athletic getting a third and for the first time since the formation of the team lost both Saturday matches.
The under 9s first match was against Washington Juniors and a classy goal by Andrew Simpson in a one to one with the keeper opened the scoring. A further goal from Mark Arnold with a single Washington reply was enough to ensure all three points went Coxhoe’s way.
In the second game against league newcomers Biscop Rangers Alex Macgrath scored a brace before Jamie Appleby scored the goal of the day with a real stunner from the corner of the box which deflected in off the bar to make the final score 3-0 to Coxhoe.
The U8s first match of the day saw an opening debut goal from Flynn Fisher against Farringdon Detached. Farringdon went on to equalise and continued to pressure the Coxhoe goal for the rest of the game but United’s defence held firm and the game finished 1-1.
In the second game Washington United Wildcats scored the opening goal but this did not deter United who hit back with a Anthony Wharrier brace and the game finished at 2-1. Aaron Cane made his debut for the club and was outstanding up front alongside the high scoring Wharrier.
The U8s development team only had the one match and were up against a very good looking Waldridge Park. Despite good effort from United it the day belonged to Waldridge Park who won the tie 4-0.

Sat 29th April

Whist the Under 10s were at Blackpool securing a truly magnificent runners up spot in the Blackpool Shield (losing by penalties in the final), the only league action was at Under 9s and U8s Dev. level.

Under 8 Development

Under 9's

The first ever meeting between Coxhoe and Shotton proved to be a tough game with Coxhoe going a goal down early in the first half. Heads didn't go down as Coxhoe continued to fight hard but couldn't get the break they needed to pull level, with that early goal from Shotton being the decider. Man of the Match for Coxhoe went to Mark Arnold.

In the second game against Tyneside Juniors, Coxhoe couldn't benefit from starting the game with a wind advantage, coming in 2-0 down at half time. Tyneside continued the pressure early in the 2nd half going 3 up, before Cameron Holdsworth broke free to claw one back for Coxhoe from a 1 on 1 with the Tyneside goalkeeper. Coxhoe kept battling but again couldn't make the most of the chances they got with the result remaining 3-1. Man of the Match awarded to James Gilson.

Under 8 Development

Coxhoe put up a brave fight in their first match against Houghton Boys but lost 3-0 with Coxhoe Man of the Match going to Bobby Goundry. The post match team talk obviously paid dividends as they went on to win their second against Plains Farm Blues 1-0, with the goal coming from Sam Marshall with another solid performance from Bobby Goundry to again claim Man of the Match,

Saturday 22 April

A good start for the 10s and U8s Dev.

With the Under 9s at the Blackpool tournament the only games played this weekend were the U10s and U8s Development.

The U10s first game was against last season's league division 3 champions, Swalwell Swifts. The Swifts are expected by many to be the winners of this seasons D&P Trophy. Before the start of the game Swalwell presented Coxhoe with pendant as a reflection of Coxhoe’s sportsmanship in their previous meetings. When the game kicked off both teams were evenly matched with some excellent defensive play from both teams. The only goal game half way through the first half in the favour of Swalwell. An excellent long range shot (with swerve) found the way passed an unlucky David Atkinson in the Coxhoe net who got his fingertips to it. Coxhoe had chances to score but it was not to be. We look forward to the next meeting between the two clubs.

The second game was against Washington United Pumas who were in the first division last season. A truly stunning headed goal from Ryan Mansfield opened the scoring and a further goal from Macauley Smith put the score at 2-0 at half time. In the second half Ryan Mansfield score another headed goal from a corner and very nearly repeated with a carbon copy effort but the ball just squeezed past the Pumas post.

The U8s development started with a 0-0 score against Plains Farm Blues and a 2-0 victory over Waldridge. Scorers and match report to follow

Saturday 15 April

Under 9s finish on a high

The U9s took on City Of Durham Jets in their final game before the mid season break. After falling behind to an early Jet's goal, Coxhoe hit back with a goal from the ever consistant Alex Macgrath. James Gilson cannot stop scoring and again found himself on thr scoresheet with a well taken goal. The pleasing thing about the under 9s play this season is the goals have been coming from so many different players and Stephen Wadge drilled a low shot through a crowded penalty box to score his first ever league goal for United to make the final score 3-1 in the favour of Coxhoe.

Tuesday 11 April

Unlucky day for the Under 9s

The U9s had a couple of midweek games to ease the fixture pile up. The first game was against Durham Scorpions and the game started badly for United, conceding a couple of early goals. In the second half Coxhoe came back really strongly but could only convert the pressure into 1 goal scored by Jamie Appleby.

In the second game against Willington Whites, Coxhoe conceded 4 early goals as the driving wind and rain swept into the faces of the defence. Once again Coxhoe came back in the second half when the conditions had improved and were unlucky to score only a single goal courtesy of Alex Macgrath

Sat 8th April

Under 10s finish their season in runners up spot

The under 10s season concluded with games against the mighty Swalwell Swifts and South Moor Juniors.

In the match against Swalwell, Coxhoe didn’t show any sign of nerves and, in a tight first half, matched The Swifts, but with both defences outstanding the first half finished goalless.

With the midway point of the second half approaching it began to look as if the match would end in a goalless draw but it was then that Coxhoe were desperately unlucky to concede a goal. In an effort to get something from the match Coxhoe shoved their defence up field which was always a calculated gamble with a team of Swalwell’s quality. Alas the gamble didn’t work out and Swalwell were able to take full advantage and put another two unstoppable goals into the Coxhoe net to make the final score 3-0 in the favour of Swalwell.

The final match of the season was against South Moor Juniors and Coxhoe went two goals up with a beautiful long range goal from Evan Teggert followed by a sweet goal from Lewis “Dodsy” Dodsworth. As the second half got underway a massive hail storm arrived but the game managed to get through to full time with the score remaining 2-0

The U9s only match was against Durham City Jets. In an incredible game James Gilson who was looking for his first league goal of the campaign managed not one, but three! Further goals came in the form of a brace from Alex Macgrath plus another brace from Andrew Simpson. The defence had a great day, keeping a clean sheet with the final score 7-0 in the favour of Coxhoe.

Sat.1 April

Under 8s development secure runner’s up spot

The weather once again played havoc with the fixtures this weekend and the only matches to get the go ahead were the Under 8s development team.

The day started in excellent fashion with Anthony Wharrier finding the back of the net within 30 seconds of kick-off in the game against Eurocamps. This eased any nerves and Anthony went on to cap his MOM performance with a fine hat-trick with a 3-0 final score.

The second match was against Redhouse and Ben Crampton continued his excellent recent form with his first hat-trick which secured him the MOM. Not to be outdone Anthony Wharrier was once again in on the act with a brace which put him into top place in the leagues top scorers chart.

The final game was against Wasington United Leopards and a 1-0 defeat could not take the edge of a tremendous day which sees the team finish second place in the league with Anthony Wharrier topping the Leading Goal Scorers chart.

Sat. 24 March

Under 10s record their highest ever league victory

The under 10s kicked off their first game of the day against 3rd place Byres Green Bees and struggled to find their form. Byres Green took a deserved lead before Coxhoe started to play the sort of football that has lifted them to second place but it was too late and the game ended with a 1-0 defeat.

They started the second game against 5th placed Houghton Tigers as they had finished the first, and it wasn’t long before the goals started to flow. Evan Teggert scored a magnificent hat-trick and was desperately unlucky not to get a fourth with a screamer which came off the post . Further goals from James Marshall, Ryan Mansfield, Jordan Woodward, Macauley Smith and Jack Stonely saw Coxhoe record their highest ever league score and was a real confidence booster going into next week's match against league leaders Swalwell Swifts.

The under 8s development’s first game was against second placed Houghton Boys and after a scrappy start Coxhoe started to play some beautiful football. Two second half goals from Anthony Wharrier and Danny Teggert meant Coxhoe won the game 2-0 against a team only beaten 3 times in the league before today.

The second game was against Plains Farm Yellows and Plains Farm took the lead despite a superb display in goal from the ever improving and M.O.M.. Sahari Bomaji. A second half goal from a free kick just outside the penalty box resulted in a goal from Anthony Wharrier and the game finished 1-1.

Sat 18 February

Under 10s secure runners up spot.

Coxhoe went into todays games against the 2 Durham County teams with a full strength squad with the exception of midfielders Jack Stoneley and Lewis "Dodsy" Dodsworth who had an argument with a tree stump (and lost!!). We all wish you a speedy recovery Lewis.

The first game was against mid table Durham County Colts and some excellent attacking football ensured 5 goals for United with a brace apiece from Ryan Mansfield and Macauley Smith, with Evan Teggart again getting on the scoresheet. Excellent defensive work with some spectacular goalkeeping from David Atkinson ensured that Coxhoe kept a clean sheet.

The second game was against Durham County Panthers and Coxhoe could not have been more keyed up as The Panthers caused an upset on 21 January by beating Coxhoe 2-0. An early Ryan Mansfield goal settled Coxhoe's nerves and from that point the result was never in doubt. Ryan Mansfield went on to complete his hat trick and further goals from Macauley Smith, Evan Teggart, James Marsh with left back Christopher Cartner finally grabbing his first league goal for the club in a rare venture upfield. Any Panther's attacks were easily dealt with by a solid looking United defence. This result means that Coxhoe United are guaranteed at least the Runner's up spot.

The Under 9's first match saw them in action against a  Durham City Bees. Coxhoe struggled against the strong second placed Bees and conceded 3 goals before Andrew Simpson scored late in the game with a magnificent angled strike into the top corner of the net.

The second Match was against promotion rivals Boldon Colt Panthers who started the day one place above Coxhoe in 5th position. It was a very tight affair with both teams showing lots of spirit but it was Boldon who broke the deadlock and went on to win 1-0

Jack Frost performed magnificently at Shiny Row to ensure no football was played in the Development League.

Sat 4 February

Mixed results for all teams

The under 10s were up against third place Lambton Lions United in the opening match and were expecting a difficult encounter after scraping a 1-0 victory against them earlier in the season. Coxhoe went into the half time period 1-0 down but kept their heads held high for second period and the ever dangerous Macauley Smith made no mistakes to equalise, and the game finished 1-1.

The second game was against Wheatley Hill Rockets and after a disappointing first half an inspirational Alex Ferguson like team talk was given by Kevin “the hairdryer” Smith which left no-one in any doubt what was expected of them in the second half. Christopher Cartner went close to grabbing a first ever league goal but his powerful strike went against the crossbar, When Evan Teggart scored the result was never in doubt and the 1-0 result did not do Coxhoe justice.

The under 9s first match was against Hebburn with Jamie Appleby yet again getting onto the score sheet with further goals from Cameron Holdsworth and Jack Thirlaway . What was especially pleasing about the game was the way the players applied what they learnt in training such as “shielding the ball”

The second game was against the all powerful Swalwell Swifts and despite losing 5-0 Coxhoe matched Swalwell for long periods of the match.

The under 8s opening match was against Redhouse CA and the result was a fine 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Lewis Elmer, Ben Crampton and Anthony Wharrier.

In the second match they faced Byers Green and despite dominating the whole match with Faye Mullen in goal never touching the ball for around 15 - 20 minutes the game ended 0-0.

Don’t forget to read about all of the Russell Foster League action in Wednesday’s Sunderland Echo.

Sat 21 January

Under 10s winning streak comes to an end

The under 10s played their first match against mid table Byres Green Bees and it looked as if it was to be a low scoring affair as we went into half time at 0-0. However Coxhoe came to life in the second half and a brace by Macauley Smith with further goals by Jack Stonely and Ryan Mansfield saw an easy Coxhoe victory. The second match was against bottom placed Durham County Panthers, and, with only one victory all season it looked (on paper) an easy match. Unfortunately for Coxhoe the game was played on grass, (not paper) and with the score at 0-0 at half time it was not going to be a walkover. It was late in the second half when Panthers scored the opening goal from a corner. From that point Coxhoe pushed forward to avoid only their second defeat of the season but Panthers broke away and stunned Coxhoe with a neat second goal to cause the upset of the day.

The under 9s first match was against Brandon United who started the game one place behind Coxhoe in 6th position. Goals from Andrew Simpson and Cameron Holdsworth were good enough to secure a vital 2-1 victory for the lads. The second game was against Tyneside Juniors who were one place above Coxhoe in 4th position, but they proved much tougher opposition as they put 6 into the Coxhoe net but Coxhoe heads refused to go down and Andrew Simpson and Cameron Holdsworth again got on the score sheet to make it 6-2. Promotion is a real possibility.

The under 8s played Eurocamps in their opening fixture and won 1-0 thanks to an Anthony Wharrier goal. Anthony then went on to repeat this with a goal in the second match against Plains Farm Blues but it was not enough to secure a victory and they went down 2-0. With games in hand the under 8s can look forward to a high league position if they keep up their efforts.

Sat 14 January

Under 8s move up a gear

For the first time in many weeks the weather was kind and allowed all of United’s games to go ahead.

The under 8s first match was against Deerness Valley and m.o.m. Lewis Elmer grabbed a brace and a further goal by Anthony Wharrier meant a fine 3-2 victory.

The second match saw them against Plains Farm Yellows and thanks to a stunning goal from the wing by Lewis Elmer and another from mom Faye Mullen a 2-0 victory was recorded.

The under 10s were in League Cup action against Hilda Park a couple of divisions above us in Division 1. The game was a very close affair between teams of similar ability but a James Marshall goal was enough to put Coxhoe through to the next round.

First division Durham County Colt’s penalty shoot out victory over Premier league Boldon meant that they were our next opponents and again it was a tight affair but 2 goals from the Colts ensured it was Boldon and not Coxhoe going into the last 16. The 2-0 scoreline was maybe a little flattering but best of luck to them in the coming rounds.

The under 9s had a day of extremes!! The first match against Farringdon Detached was excellent with a Andrew Simpson hat trick, Jamie Appleby brace with Cameron Holdsworth grabbing another, and, with a 6-1 victory went into the match against league leaders Swalwell Swifts full of confidence.

Swalwell Swifts are the best team in the league by some way and with “goals for” at 57 with only 2 goals conceded before today’s game we really needed them to have a “bad day at the office”.........It never happened.

What followed was an awesome display by a superb team at the very top of their form and they went on to put 9 goals into our net. The only plus was our heads didn’t go down and Jamie Appleby managed to get a second half goal.

Sat 7 January

The U10s march towards promotion continues

The weather again played havoc with the days fixtures but the Under 10s games were played.

The first game was against a very strong third place Plains Farm Yellows. Plains Farm had only been beaten twice in the league before today's match and a tough encounter was expected, and that was just what we got. The first half was 0-0 with fine performances from all of our players and in the second half Evan Teggard bagged the deciding goal of the fixture. It was a fantastic performance and 1-0 was a fair result, against a team not used to being beaten.

The second match was our first ever match against a mid table Wheatley Hill Rockets. Despite their league position they are a side who are always dangerous on the break (they are the only team to score against leaders Swalwell Swifts) and have a strong defence with only 14 goals conceded. A very early Macauley Smith penalty goal settled Coxhoe's nerves and full of confidence started to go on something of a rampage, with further gaols coming from Jordan Woodward x2 , Evan Teggard and a second Macauley Smith goal. However the goal of the day was from Jack Stoneley, it was a real scorcher of a shot, indeed had the net not been there the ball would still be flying somewhere over the North Sea!!!, but as previously mentioned the Rockets are good on the break and scored a pair of classy goals to make the scoreline look a little more respectable.

Sat 10 December

Clean Sweep By Coxhoe United Teams!

At long last there was some league action, and well worth the wait it was!!

The Under 9s started with a 3-0 victory over Byres Green Bees thanks to a brace from Jamie Appleby and a third from m.o.m. Alex Mcgrath. The second game was against Farringdon Detached who went into the game a position above Coxhoe. The result was another 3-0 victory with a goal apiece from m.o.m. Jamie Appleby and Alex Mcgrath, however the game will be remembered by a stunning goal from Mark Arnold.

The Under 8s were up against the league leaders Houghton Boys but they showed no fear and beat the league leaders 3-0. The goals were from our brilliant double act up front, with a Anthony Wharrier brace and a Louis Elmer goal.

Well done to you all, you are not only a credit to the club, but to the whole village!!!

Sat 19 November - Rained off!

Sat 26 November - Rained Off!!

Sat 3 December - Rained Off!!!

Sat 12 November

Under 10s up to joint top

Another splendid day was had by the under 10s with a 1-0 victory over Durham County Colts thanks to a Ryan Mansfield goal. Ryan was also on target in the second match along with Macauley Smith who grabbed a brace with other goals from Evan Teggart and James Marsh who's proving to be a great signing.

It was a good day for the under 9s who secured a 1-1 draw against a strong Hebburn Argyle side with a Jamie Appleby goal. In the second match they beat Washington Juniors 2-0 with another goal from Jamie along with a fine Andrew Simpson goal.

The Under 8s had a "bad day at the office" with 2 defeats at the hands of Lumley Beta FC and Waldridge Park. Danny Teggart and Lewis Elmer both grabbed goals in the 2-6 loss against Lumley. Take heart under 8s all top teams such as Chelsea and Sunderland suffer occasional "Blips" ( of varying lengths!!!).

Can't wait to see you bounce back.

Sat 15 October

Under 8s continue to take giant strides forward

The Under 8s continue to amaze everyone with their stunning progress in the league. Their first match against Byres Green resulted in a 2-0 victory thanks to our forward double act of Anthony Wharrier and Lewis Elmer with a goal apiece. Faye Mullen took the MOM.  In the second match against Deerness Valley, MOM Anthony Wharrier grabbed a hat trick with Lewis Elmer again getting on the scoresheet. The referee even passed comment on how impressed he was with the progress of the team. Once again well done to players and coaching staff of the team.

The under 10s had the long awaited showdown with the league leaders Swalwell Swifts. With 12 games and 12 wins between us it was always going to be a tight affair and it resulted in a 1-0 defeat, our first of the season. The Swalwell manager (Billy Leigh) passed comment that it was Swalwell's toughest game of the season (as expected). We await our next meeting in the league and look forward to many more matches against "The Swifts" as we both progress up through the leagues. In the second game against Tyneside Juniors we were back to winning ways with goals from Evan Teggart, James Marsh and Ryan Mansfield in a 3-0 victory.

The under 9s  had a break from league action as they were up against Plains Farm Blues from the First Division in the first round of the League cup. Despite a valiant effort they lost the game 2-0.

Sat October 8 Matches

The U 10s Dream Start Continues!!!

6 Wins In 6 Matches!!!

The Under 10s enjoyed yet another glorious weekend with 2 magnificent victories. The first match against Tyneside Juniors was 3 - 0 with goals from Evan Teggart, Lewis Dodsworth and Macauley Smith.  In the second game against South Moor Macauley grabbed a Hat trick, Ryan Mansfield a brace and James Marsh scored his first (of many) league goal for a superb 6-0 victory.

The Under 9s had a rather dissapointing day with 2 defeats. The first was 2-1 against Durham County Jets with Andrew Simpson again getting on the scoresheet. The second game was a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Easington Kites.

The under 8s had a fantastic day. The first match against Pelton & Ouston Juniors was 2-0 in our favour with goals from Anthony Wharrior And Lewis Elmer.  In the second game Ben Crampton scored the only goal in the game against Washington United Leopards.

The league is now on the Under 8s results page and with games in hand it's looking good. The under 8s are doing us proud and well done to each and every one of them!

Sat 1 October

The Under 10s continued their perfect start to the season with 2 hard fought games.

The first against Lambton Park United was 1-0 thanks to yet another Macauley Smith goal. The second match against Plains Farm Yellows was also 1-0 in favour of Coxhoe due to a Plains Farm own goal. Four wins in four matches, long may it continue!!!!!

The under 9s sent shock waves through the league as they beat Byres Green Bees 6-0 Jamie Appleby continued his brilliant start to the season with a hat trick. Andrew Simpson also joined in with a brace  whilst Alex Mcgrath got the other.  In the second game they stung City Of Durham Bees 4-0 with Andrew Simpson again grabbing a brace, Curtis Bihari getting on the scoresheet and Jamie Appleby gatting yet another goal. After a quiet start to the season the boys are starting to click.

The under 8s started their season with a 2-2 draw against Lumley Park with goals from Lewis Elmer and Anthony Wharrier. In the second they were unlucky to go down 2 0 against Waldridge Park.

Sat 24 September

Coxhoe United Under 10s kicked off their new season with an emphatic 6-0 win over Houghton Tigers. The outstanding Macauley Smith scored 4 goals with Evan Teggard and Ryan Mansfield netting one apiece.

The second game against a strong Hylton Castle team was an exciting affair with Hylton Castle leading 1-0 at half time but second half goals by Jordan Woodward and Evan Teggard ensured that the Under 10s made the perfect start to the season.

The Under 9s were unlucky to be 0-0 at half time against Boldon Panthers. Boldon then went on to net 2 in as many minutes in the second half and despite a good performance with a Jamie Appleby goal Coxhoe were unfortunate to lose 2-1.

In the second game against Brandon United, Coxhoe were the strongest team in the first half but despite their superiority could only go into half time 1-0 thanks to an Andrew Simpson goal. In the second half Brandon scored twice to take the lead but a second goal from Andrew Simpson secured a draw.
